The Chiminea is experiencing a revival within the Big Green Egg range.
The original, based on 16th century outdoor fireplaces originating in Mexico and the southwestern states of America, was introduced in 1999. Production stopped a few years later, but the demand remained.
That is why, in honour of the 50th anniversary, the iconic Chiminea is back in the form of a perfected limited edition. This ode to fans and the outdoors is a stylish addition to any garden. Are you dining with your sweetheart or family in the garden, or having friends over? The dancing flames in this cult classic will provide even more atmosphere. Beautiful summer evenings can be prolonged thanks to the warmth radiated by the Chiminea and it’s nice to be outside during colder days when the fire is burning in the Chiminea.
Like the Big Green Egg, the Chiminea is made of ceramics using technologies developed for NASA purposes and coated with the characteristic porcelain glaze. The outdoor fireplace stands on a sturdy base and is equipped with a spark grate at the front with an acacia wood handle. The unique design of the chimney hood, with integrated Big Green Eggs, adds to the experience. These steel parts have a heat-resistant powder coating. The accompanying red lava stones that you place at the bottom of your Chiminea provide extra long-lasting heat, absorbing the heat and storing it to release later.
