Simples steps to making the perfect bed

It’s the daily chore many of us hate and the results often don’t look the way we want. Turns out there is a reason why and the fixes are very simple. Little everyday changes often make a big difference to major overhauls, this is what you need to know. Does your bed look tired and confused? Follow this eight bed-making tips at your place to ensure your main or guest bedroom looks as good as it should.

Tip One

Having a mattress protector it’s an essential starting point to making a perfect bed. Having this layer underneath your fitted sheet keeps things like bacteria, mould and dust mites at bay.

Tip Two

Fitted and flat sheets are better together. Avoid ditching the flat sheet because you feel is not needed. It is. Also you can consider to mix and match sheet colours too, to add some tone and introduce colour diversity in your bedroom.

Tip Three

Use different size pillows for decorations. Keep the creepyone you drool on at the back and let the ones in front be the star of the show.

Tip Four

It is preferable to have at least three cushions sitting in front of your standard pillows and they had better not be sitting on the diagonal.

Tip Five

Your quilt needs to be one size larger than your mattress avoiding seeing a slither of fitted sheet exposed on the side of the bed. It should drape down the side of your bed to fully cover the mattress. So always go one size larger to give the bed a sens of grandeur.

Tip Six

Your pillows should’nt sit on your quilt. Your pillow arrangement at the head of the bed should sit on the sheets, not the quilt cover. To get into bed should be easy, just pull back the cover and is bed-time.

Tip Seven

The quilt should be folded over the lower half of the bed. Next time your making your bed, do a generous fold over with your quild cover and you’ll have a scene with feel more layered and welcoming.

Tip Eight

Don’t forget to ice the cake!
The bed needs a blanket and throw at the end of it. Especially in winter time, ensure you finish off with this important element and your bed will be just exquisite.
